Of the top gaming apps in the world, the majority of them focus heavily on slot game play. These are free apps that players can download on their mobile devices through Google Play or the Apple Store or via Facebook.

Statista recently put together a list of the top 10 casino gaming apps based on their global revenue as of February 2022. The source for the data was AppMagic. While that’s one way to test popularity, we also include the highest-rated apps on Google Play and the App Stores. Coin Master
Some will recognize the name of this game from the numerous celebrity-laden advertisements for the game. Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Terry Crews, Pauly D, Kris Jenner, and Khloe Kardashian have all participated in the ads for Coin Master.
Created by Israeli game studio Moon Active, Coin Master originally hit the market in 2015 and launched in 2017. Since then, it skyrocketed to the top of the casino gaming app charts. In 2019, it became the top grossing game in the UK and Germany. By 2021, it was the top gaming app in the world with $77.18M in revenue and well over 100M downloads.
It is a single-player game but pits players against each other with incentives to attack others’ villages. To date, the game has grown to offer 316 levels of play and is now up to version 3.5.290.
Slotomania
With more than 50M downloads to date, Slotomania comes in second place in all-time global revenue. The game has been around since 2011, though, and it has collected $21.92M. It is now on version 6.26.8.
Israeli-based Playtika built the game on the simple luck-based slot machine game, but it grew to offer more than 200 slots within the app. As it grew over the past decade, it also began to allow more missions and become more of a social game by allowing players to send gifts to each other.
It also went the way of celebrity endorsements in 2019 and 2020 with John Goodman as a spokesman.
Bingo Blitz
At one time, bingo was a game predominantly played by the senior population. However, it has seen a resurgence in the past two decades, especially with game offerings like Bingo Blitz. A new generation has become a part of the online bingo revolution.
Originally, a company called Uproar released a version of Bingo Blitz in 1998. However, Playtika took over in 2012 and rereleased a more modern version of the game. By adding new features like in-game chats, missions, and the ability to play with friends, the game is now the third-most popular casino app in the world. It helps to advertise with people like Ellen DeGeneres.
To date, more than 10M downloads have generated $17.26M in revenue. It is currently offering version 4.64 with the most recent updates.
Jackpot Party Casino
Phantom EFX created created Jackpot Party Casino with free casino slots for WMS Industries, though SG Interactive now owns the brand. This was another game created years ago, with release dates showing in 2011 and 2013. In that decade, it has accumulated $15.77M in revenue.
It boasts of more than 110 slot games, including ones with jackpots. With more than 60M downloads, it is fourth in the world and currently up to version 5020.
DoubleDown Casino
Created by the aptly-named DoubleDown Interactive studio, DoubleDown Casino is a casino-themed app that includes more than 200 slots. Jackpots are a part of the offerings that have prompted more than 10M people to download it and contribute to $15.57M in revenue since its 2012 launch.
Cash Frenzy Casino
Slot games are all the rage, as shown by yet another top gaming app with that theme. SpinX Games Ltd. Created this game just a few years ago, as it launched in 2018 but already has more than 10M downloads to its credit. And the game skyrocketed to sixth place in global revenue with $13.63M.
Cashman Casino
This game first made its way to popularity through its presence in land-based casinos around the world. Aristocrat, the world’s largest slot machine manufacturer, introduced the Mr. Cashman brand to players creating that familiarity that has draw millions to download the Cashman Casino app. Product Madness released the online version of the brand in 2017-2018, and it has generated $13M in revenue in just a few years.
Lightning Link Casino
Lightning Link is another Aristocrat-born game that made its way to app fame through Product Madness. This was only released in 2019 but already shows more than 5M downloads and $12.01M in revenue.
House of Fun
Playtika was responsible for this free casino slot game app, which first hit the market around 2013. It was originally a UK release that now boasts of a worldwide audience with more than 10M downloads. It made the top 10 of gaming apps with $10.95M in revenue.
World Series of Poker (WSOP)
The only poker-focused app to make the top ten is also one of the – if not the – most recognized poker brand in the world. Playtika partnered with the WSOP to offer free-play online poker. While many apps launched during the poker boom between 2003 and 2011, the WSOP released this game in 2013, and it quickly outpaced all others.
The game has more than 50M downloads and is already on version 8.7.2. It has accumulated more than $9.13M in revenue.
Part of the game’s popularity is the simplicity of being able to play without dedicating a lot of time or money to play, though in-app purchases are available for more play-chips. The game has expanded in the past several years to include Omaha tournaments in addition to the traditional Hold’em games. It has also created the opportunity to play anonymously, with friends, and even across devices.
Jackpot Storm: Highest Rated on Google Play
The highest rated casino app of 2022 on Google Play is “Jackpot Storm”, which features free casino slot games. Jackpot Storm has a 4.6 rating. It is rated Teen, contains ads, and offer in-app purchases but otherwise is free to download and play. Players get free coins every 2 hours, while they can win coins in daily challenges and mini games. They also can collect free coins by inviting friends, while joining multiplayer slots tournaments using the coins they collect.
