Microgaming Sets Release Dates for 6 Newest Online Slots

Microgaming releases more and more new slot games for online casinos each month. It’s not that Microgaming developers are working at a superhuman speed, though. It is a result of the numerous partnerships with independent studios.

Since independent game developers often lack the resources to contact hundreds of online casino operators and negotiate deals, the deal with a larger company helps with that. Microgaming puts the new games on its platform, providing more access and a much larger audience.

This month, the list of studios in the spotlight includes Crazy Tooth, Alchemy Gaming, Half Pixel, Just For The Win, Stormcraft Studios, and Foxium.

Let’s look at the August games themselves.

  1. Ancient Warriors: August 4

The latest release from Crazy Tooth Studio takes players in search of treasures in a faraway Asian temple. Ancient Warriors hit top Canadian online casinos on August 4 and has proven popular thus far.

The music and scenery take players back to a simpler time with vivid colors and backdrops, and symbols that pop from the grid. Four reels and six rows provide ample opportunities to hit any of the 50 paylines. Players can bet as low as $0.20 but as high as $30 per spin. It is a high volatility game but can produce a win of more than 1,807x the bet.

See-Thru Reels make an appearance in Ancient Warriors. The Wild Transformation feature reveals statues that come to life, and that Ancient Warrior delivers a Stacked Multiplier via an extravagant presentation. Of course, there is also a Bonus Spins feature, which can offer up to 10 spins and 12 locked positions. Wilds and Stacked Multipliers join in to make the bonus round even more profitable.

  1. Goldaur Guardians: August 11

Ready to hit the top Canadian casinos online this Tuesday, Goldaur Guardians hails from the minds at Alchemy Gaming. This studio specializes in math-driven games, but developers mix that knowledge with high-end audiovisuals and inventive features to put out unique games.

Goldaur Guardians is the perfect example of the creativity, the visuals, and the features. This fantasy-themed game uses a fictional world to intrigue players and keep them spinning for the results of high volatility. This 5×3 game offers 20 paylines and a maximum win of 1,000x the bet. Players can start at a $0.20 minimum bet or play high-stakes slots at $100 per spin.

Hyperspins is the Microgaming-specific feature in this game. It gives players the chance to pay to respin certain reels after a base-play spin, and the cost to spin each reel depends upon the odds of hitting a payline. Hero Spins involve certain symbols and wilds hitting on the first two reels, then triggering the Mega Symbol – taking up the 3×3 space – on the rest of the reels. At least three scatter symbols trigger Free Spins and can award up to 10 of them. The first two reels are stacked, and players see the Mega Symbol again. And when the Retrigger symbol appears, the multiplier meter begins offering multipliers of up to 1,000x.

  1. Retro Galaxy: August 13

This game is the product of a relatively new relationship between Microgaming and Half Pixel Studio. Retro Galaxy is a high-volatility game with an outer-space theme and a lot of neon symbols and 1980s-punk-era fonts. The 5-reel slot does offer a win potential of 7,300x the bet with 243 ways to win.

There are several features, the most prominent of which is Rolling Reels, a signature of Microgaming hits. After the player hits a winning payline, those winning symbols depart and make way for new ones. This continues until there are no new wins. In addition, players will find a Multiplier Trail that increases up to 5x and a Free Spin round with up to 20 free spins. Those spins also come with a prize of 2x, 10x, or 100x the bet, and a Multiplier Trail with the potential to reach 15x.

Players can take a look on many Canadian casinos on or after the game’s release on August 13.

  1. Wolf Howl: August 18

This game is a bit out of character for Just For the Win developers. They often tend toward new and original characters and bright animation, as in Tiki Vikings, Rockabilly Wolves, or Tweet Hearts. Wolf Howl, however, goes in a new direction, taking players into the Arctic wild, complete with animal symbols and a nighttime background.

The 5×3 grid offers 10 paylines and a win potential of a quite significant 25,000x. The game is good for low-stakes players with a minimum bet of $0.10, and it maxes out at $10 per spin.

There are Multiplier Wilds that can go as high as 20x. The Scatter Adder feature is a random one that adds two, three, or four scatter symbols to the reels at any time. Moon symbols serve as the scatters and can award up to 30 Free Spins. That bonus round offers a Retrigger feature to add as many as 30 more spins. Another feature is the Wild Call, which is only available during that bonus round and can turn all scatters into Multiplier Wilds.

  1. Break Away Lucky Wilds: August 20

A little more than one year ago, Microgaming released Break Away, a hockey-themed online slot game with features like Growing Wilds, Rolling Reels, free spins, and multipliers. It was a 5×5 game with 88 pay ways with betting options ranging from $0.88 to $44.

Stormcraft Studios took that game and updated it to be more dramatic, vivid, and with added features. The game still offers 88 paylines and a minimum bet of $0.88, but this version caps betting at $8.80 per spin. However, there is a maximum payout of 11,363x the bet.

The graphics and sounds put players right in the hockey arena, complete with an announcer calling the features. Those features include Rolling Reels, of course, but added more in other areas. Free Spins now give players the choice of 6 spins at 3x to 28x, 12 spins at 2x to 18x, or 18 spins at 1x to 8x. Smashing Wilds are random and transform one of the middle reels into a full set of Wilds. Players will also find Growing Wilds, a Multiplier Trail, and Free Spins.

  1. 3 Tiny Gods: August 25

Foxium worked on this very original game called 3 Tiny Gods. Using Ancient Egypt mythology as the basis and creating three tiny gods to work in that space, Foxium developed a very colorful game on a dark background. It grabs players’ attention and offers a plethora of features. The tiny gods use their weapons to initiate actions and offer more chances to win.

This 5×4 game has 30 paylines and medium volatility, good for big action without requiring a ton of time to wait for wins. Players can choose $0.10 per spin all the way up to $50, and the max payout can be 5,000x the total bet.

Players should be prepared for many of the features in 3 Tiny Gods to take them into different scenarios to determine bonuses. The three tiny gods may go in front of the rulers of the land stand before the pyramid, for example, to find their secret powers. The Mystery of Horus feature covers two or three adjacent reels with eye symbols. The Gift of Bastet is random and shuffles the reels. Scatter symbols trigger Free Spins with eight of them, all using the Mystery of Horus on every spin. This also unlocks the Wrath of Anubis feature for more free spins and the removal of low-paying symbols.

Did we mention there is also a jackpot? Players collect coins in a pot above the reels, and when full, it triggers a Jackpot game offering several jackpots: Mini is 25x, Midi is 100x, and Maxi is 5,000x.
