Mega Moolah Pays Big as Microgaming Offers New Games

Just as Microgaming and its independent studio and game development partners prepared to release three new video slot games, there was other news. Microgaming’s all-time most popular game, Mega Moolah, paid out a massive multi-million-dollar jackpot to a UK player.

It’s been a chaotic time of year for Microgaming, but it is a good kind of chaos. It can be fun to award millions of dollars and release new games for Canadian online casinos.

All of the games mentioned below can be found easily at online casinos like Jackpot City, Playamo, and Lucky Nugget Casino.

Mega Moolah Payout

It happens much more frequently these days. Progressive jackpot slot Mega Moolah has been hitting more frequently this year than at any time since its release in 2006.

On November 8, a person from the UK was playing on Genesis Casino for £6.25 per spin. That’s when the person hit the Mega Moolah mega jackpot for a massive payout of £2,772,916.45. The player will receive the money in one lump sum.

It was a good way to celebrate the 13th anniversary of Mega Moolah’s release in 2006. To date, players have won more than €1.1 billion in jackpots from this single progressive slot.

Microgaming had some staggering numbers to reveal about its Mega Moolah jackpots in 2019 alone:

  • Microgaming paid out more than €121 million.
  • Players collected more than 1.7 million jackpots at various amounts.
  • More than 10 player won seven-figure or eight-figure jackpots.
  • More than 570 players won at least €10,000.

As far as Canadian winners, Mega Moolah has paid the following this year so far:

  • September 30, 2019: $4,443,185.39
  • September 5, 2019: $4,746,748.54
  • August 10, 2019: $5,954,437.97
  • May 4, 2019: $8,162,217.05
  • March 6, 2019: $3,308,063.71
  • January 30, 2019: $20,059,287.27

New Game Release: Ivory Citadel

Microgaming’s partnership with Just For The Win has delivered some of the most exciting online slot games of 2019. Earlier this year, the duo released Rockabilly Wolves, Reel Splitter, and Tweethearts. Most recently, Rising Royals hit online casinos in November.

The latest is Ivory Citadel, a mysterious game in a setting of marble, stone, ivory, and flames. The soundtrack makes the player feel like he or she is in an adventure film, with a dramatic and exciting feel.

The 5-reel slot offers 20 paylines, and players can spin for anywhere from $0.10 to $100.00. Its features include:

  • Mystery Symbols = may turn into any symbol except Free Spins
  • Sticky Mystery Symbols = turn into Wilds and stick, available during Free Spins only
  • Free Spins = 3 elephant symbols give 8 free spins, 4 symbols give 10 spins, 5 give 12 spins
  • Wilds = top paying symbol alongside Ivory Citadel logo

New Game Release: Treasures of Lion City

The relationship between Microgaming and Pulse 8 Studios delivered a big hit of 2019 with Relic Seekers. The latest release from the independent developer is Treasures of Lion City.

The treasures are hidden in the “Atlantis of the East,” an undersea world of stone buildings, temples, statues, and treasures. Complete with a dramatic soundtrack and sound effects to match the action, players can easily get caught up in this game.

The 5×3-reel slot offers 25 paylines and bets from $0.25 up to $50.00 per spin. The most a player can win is $130,000.

There are several intriguing features in Treasures of Lion City, including:

  • Rolling Reels = winning symbols disappear with new ones rolling in
  • Win Meter = tracks Rolling Reels and issues rewards like Wilds and Multipliers
  • Wilds = top paying symbol, just above the treasure chest of gold
  • Multipliers = up to 27x a win, available on 7th, 9th, and 11th consecutive Rolling Reels

New Game Release: Stumpy McDoodles

This could be the best name for a game in the history of gaming. But we digress…

Foxium’s partnership with Microgaming has delivered exciting games like Boom Pirates, a wildly exciting and unique game. This month, the same team delivered another original with Stumpy McDoodles.

The soundtrack is fairly quiet and stays in the background, with magical sounds chiming in when paylines hit or features appear. The Irish characters lead the way in Stumpy McDoodles.

The 5×4-reel slot has 20 paylines and several features:

  • Stumpy Random Wilds = randomly activated, pot of gold appears and awards prizes
  • Rainbow Respin = two scatters trigger a Respin
  • Free Spins = three scatters trigger five Free Spins
  • Wilds and Multipliers = collectible during Free Spins to unlock more features
  • Shifting Wilds = moving Wilds during Free Spins

This game also features Foxify, which allows players to increase multiplier values or buy free spins. These cost money, but some players appreciate the added feature to increase the action and improve the chances of winning.
