Signs Your Online Casino Might Not Be Trustworthy

With more people than ever delving into the online casino world, there is a lot of opportunity to come across sketchy sites. In order to keep our players safe, we thought it would be great to put together a comprehensive list of things to be weary of when it comes to finding an online casino. Most bad sites will have some dead giveaways that they cannot be trusted, here’s a few of them:

  1. Payment Issues

When it comes to your money, there is no messing around. There are multiple things when it comes to the payment process that players should be weary of. The first being if the casino doesn’t have many banking options. This may not seem like a big deal, but it can mean that the casino is not trustworthy or views as safe, therefore many payment options do not want to attach their name to the brand or partner with them.

Another thing to keep an eye on is the payout speed. This is something that should never take more than 2-3 days MAXIMUM. If it does, there may be something off about that site and you may want to look elsewhere.

  1. Licensing & Regulation, where?

If you’re new to playing online casinos, you may not realize that all good online casinos, are licensed by one of these three regulators: Malta Gaming Authority, The Curacao Gaming Control Board and Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

So how do you know? Online casinos should make it very obvious by having the corresponding logo to the regulator on their home page somewhere. It is typically at the bottom of their homepage. While you’re down there, also take note of whether or not there is in eCOGRA logo. This ensures that the site you are on has been marked as safe and secure for online players. If you cannot find any of these logos, you should visit another casino.

  1. Customer Service, who?

Customer service is one of the most important things we look for when looking into online casinos. What modes of communication do they have? Are they available 24/7? If not, what availability do they have? These are all things you should be able to quickly and easily find out. Be sure that the online casino you are choosing has multiple modes of communication like telephone, email or live chat. Bonus points if that service is available 24/7, since problems can arise at any time.

  1. Your Inbox is Full

Now we are all familiar with businesses that like to clog up your inbox, and that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad. If an online casino is constantly bombarding you with advertisements or spam in your inbox, there could be a chance that this is not the online casino you want to be dealing with.

  1. Bad reviews

Perhaps the most obvious, is bad reviews. There is no one you can trust more when it comes to these reviews than your fellow players and sites like ours that will give you the complete low-down. The good, the bad and the ugly. If you can’t find any reviews? Chances are they are not a good site, as there may be no one willing to write reviews or even wanting to give the site publicity. If you’re really curious, there are some sites that keep lists of blacklisted online casinos. That may be a good place to start.

If you see any of these things on the online casino you are visiting: RUN. And remember to trust your gut, it really is always right. And if you’re still looking for a good online casino, check out our best online casinos page. We ONLY endorse online casinos that we KNOW are good to their players, and safe and secure in every way. Our favorite? Right now, it’s Jackpot City, try it out for yourself!
