GGPoker Offers Freeroll to Celebrate Bilzerian Signing

GGPoker has grown in popularity in the past year, especially with Daniel Negreanu as its top ambassador and as the official international partner of the World Series of Poker.

The site’s executives made a bold move last week by signing Dan Bilzerian as its newest brand ambassador. GGPoker calls him “one of the world’s most recognizable poker players and social media influencers with over 32 million followers on Instagram.”

Controversial Move

Dan Bilzerian is a controversial person, one who dubbed himself the “King of Instagram.” GGPoker says that Instagram page, with more than 32 million followers, is “lifestyle-themed.”

The part-time poker player claims to have played poker for millions of dollars after starting to play online years ago. GGPoker says Bilzerian is always “on the move to find the best poker games,” and he can make it to those games on his private jet. The site also notes that he will use that jet to fly to Mexico to play on GGPoker to play in the “growing nosebleed” poker action.

Bilzerian’s GGPoker page notes that he loves poker and likes to interact with his fans. He will reportedly play at high stakes and micro stakes.

In fact, he claims that he’s already been playing at GGPoker. “I’ve battled guys from the $2 buy-in to the $200,000 buy-in tables at GGPoker and will be working with GG to make cash game tables even better for the average player.”

Bilzerian also said, “In these crazy times, GGPoker is the best option to get my poker on – they cater to the recreational players and that’s the future of poker, not a bunch of math nerds.”

Team GGPoker’s lead ambassador, Daniel Negreanu, was excited about the signing. “Dan joining Team GGPoker is a huge win!” he said. “No one in poker has a bigger reach than Dan. He has won millions in cash games and isn’t afraid to get into the mix against the sharks in the high-stakes streets of GGPoker!”

$100K Birthday Freeroll: December 7

To celebrate the announcement and Bilzerian’s 40th birthday, GGPoker is hosting a massive freeroll.

GGPoker calls it Dan’s $100,000 Birthday Freeroll and will host it on Monday, December 7 at 17:00 UTC.

AT least 50% of the field in the tournament will win cash prizes, much more than in a normal tournament. There are also special prizes:

  • Winner to receive at least $10K
  • Winner to receive a $3K buy-in to a heads-up series against Bilzerian
  • Bust Bilzerian from the freeroll to win a paid trip to Las Vegas to party with Bilzerian next summer
  • Bust any other Team GGPoker or GGSquad player (or special guests of Bilzerian) to win a Spin & Gold bundle valued at $200 or $1K in cash

Bilzerian’s guest list has yet to be released on the GGPoker Twitter account.

New players can deposit at least $10 into a new account on GGPoker using the code BLITZ40, and they will receive a ticket for the freeroll. Others can compete in social media contests for freeroll entries.
