New Game of the Week: Bowling Frenzy

The wide-ranging abilities of Playtech as a gaming company give customers the opportunity to experience a variety of gambling games. The latest slot game release called Bowling Frenzy is no different.

Playtech collaborated with Vikings and SUNFOX Studios to come up with its latest delivery called Bowling Frenzy. The 1950s Americana-themed game puts players into an era decades ago, when the boys slicked their hair back and wore leather jackets, and when the girls wore whirly skirts or leather pants and put their hair in ponytails.

And they spent a lot of time at bowling alleys.

Bowling Frenzy brings players into the 1950s with many of the signature themes of that time period. This includes rock-n-roll music and diners with neon signs.

Playtech incorporates its Information Management Solution (IMS) platform in Bowling Frenzy. Therefore, operators are able to offer real-time engagement capabilities through the game and in its marketing. The program also displays safe gambling messages.

About Bowling Frenzy

Bowling Frenzy starts with a young 1950s couple who arrive at the bowling alley in their cool car for a game. The slot has immersive 3D graphics, while the lively and fun music is straight out of the same era. The 5-reel slot is surrounded by neon and dance-floor-ready lights, all with a bowling theme.

There are 40 paylines in the game, and bets start at $0.10 and go up to $10.00, $15.00, $20.00, $50.00, $100.00, $150.00, $200.00, $300.00, and finally $500.00 per spin.

The list of payouts for all of the symbols is as follows:

  • Wild symbol: 800 for 5
  • Male character: 800 for 5
  • Female character: 400 for 5
  • Pink car: 300 for 5
  • Bowling shoes: 160 for 5
  • Diner food: 160 for 5
  • Letter A: 120 for 5
  • Letters K and Q: 80 for 5 of either
  • Letter J and number 10: 40 for 5 of either

Wild symbols substitute for all symbols except scatters, which are bowling pins.

During base-game play, players can win up to 800x the original bet. The return-to-player (RTP) percentage in Bowling Frenzy is 95.6%

How to Play This Bowling-Themed Slot

Set the betting amount and spin!

When scatters land on reels two and/or three and/or four, as many as three pins will be added to the bowling pin setup above that reel. By collecting a full set of 10 pins above a reel, the 10-Pin Respins feature is triggered. The player then bowls and however many pins are knocked down is how many stacked wilds are awarded on that respin.

The 10-Pin Respins feature is also played with cascading reels. As a result, winning symbols are removed and replaced with new symbols that drop down. Respins end when there are no more wilds left.

Three or more scatter symbols triggers the bonus round, which offers the player three choices:

  • Multiplier free games
  • Kingpin Cash bonus
  • High Wins free games

For High Wins free games, three scatters provide 10 free games, four symbols offer 15 games, and five scatters trigger 25 free games. Only the high-paying symbols are on the reels during this bonus. The 10-Pin Respins are in play during this feature.

The Multiplier free games offer 10 free games for three scatters, 15 games for four, and 30 free spins for five scatters. Stacked wilds can multiply wins up to 5x. The 10-Pin Respins are also in play during this feature, with six pins to start. And players can win up to 4000x the original bet.

Kingpin Cash is the option that offers two rolls of the bowling ball. The first awards a cash prize of up to 100x the total bet, and the second up to 25x. Meanwhile, the more scatters that triggered the bonus, the higher the multiplier can go. Wins can go as high as 2,500x the original player stake.

Free spins cannot be retriggered during bonus play.

Where to Play Bowling Frenzy

The game is somewhat volatile, but there’s always something to look forward to with each spin. The 10-Pin Respins feature gives players something to anticipate, while the bonus offers three different options.

Most casinos that offer Playtech games have the option to pick up Bowling Frenzy. While it has already appeared on major sites, Canadian casinos online will also offer Bowling Frenzy if demand is high enough.
