No account required, and no USD conversions to ignore. Every format is configured to match the official draw rules for each game, so the numbers you generate are always valid for the draw you’re playing. Unlike international lottery tools that include Canada as an afterthought, this generator is built around the provincial draws Canadians actually play. The number ranges, draw structures, and format rules are reviewed regularly.

How to Use the Random Number Generator for Lotto

This lottery number generator is part of our free Canadian gambling tools suite. Using the generator takes under a minute. Here is how it works:

    1. Select your draw from the dropdown menu — Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, Daily Grand, BC/49, Ontario 49, or Atlantic 49.
    2. Choose how many sets of numbers you want to generate (up to 10 sets per session).
    3. Click Generate. Your numbers appear instantly, already sorted in ascending order and formatted to match the official draw rules.

Copy your numbers and enter them on your ticket. Each set is generated independently, so there are no duplicates within a set and no repeated sets within the same session.

Canadian Lottery Draws Covered

The Maple Casino lotto number generator supports six draws, covering all three national games and the three main provincial draws. Each is configured to the current official format. That includes the Lotto 6/49 changes introduced in September 2022.

Lotto Max number generator (7/50)

Lotto Max is Canada’s largest national lottery, operated by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC). To play, you select 7 numbers from a pool of 1 to 50. Each $5 ticket gives you three selections: one you choose (or Quick Pick) and two additional randomly generated sets. A Bonus Number is drawn from the remaining 43 numbers and used for secondary prize tiers.

Draws take place twice a week on Tuesday and Friday evenings. The jackpot starts at $10 million and grows until won, capped at $80 million. When the jackpot reaches $50 million or more, additional MaxMillions prizes of $1 million each are drawn alongside the main jackpot.

Our generator produces 7 unique numbers from 1 to 50, matching the official Lotto Max format exactly. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 7. For a full breakdown of the prize tiers and odds, see our guide to playing the lottery in Canada.

Lotto 6/49 number generator (6/49 + Gold Ball)

Lotto 6/49 is Canada’s original player-choice lottery. This game launched in 1982 and still one of the most widely played draws in the country. Draws are held every Wednesday and Saturday.

Since September 2022, the game has two separate components that run simultaneously from the same ticket purchase:

  • The Classic Draw: 6 numbers drawn from 1 to 49, plus a Bonus Number. The jackpot is a fixed CA$5 million. If more than one player matches all six numbers, the prize is shared.
  • The Gold Ball Draw: A separate raffle-style draw with a progressive jackpot starting at $10 million and growing to $40 million or more. One Gold Ball ticket number is drawn each week.

This two-component format is frequently misunderstood and often described incorrectly on international lottery sites. Our Lotto 6/49 generator produces 6 unique numbers from 1–49 for the Classic Draw, plus a suggested Bonus Number. The Gold Ball raffle number is assigned at point of purchase and cannot be pre-selected (no generator can produce it).

Daily Grand number generator (5/49 + Grand Number)

Daily Grand is a national draw with a distinctive prize structure. Players select 5 numbers from 1 to 49, plus one Grand Number from a separate pool of 1 to 7. The top prize is unusual: rather than a lump-sum jackpot, the winner receives $1,000 per day for life, with an optional lump-sum alternative of $7 million.

Draws are held every Monday and Thursday. Secondary prizes include $25,000 per year for life (approximately $68 per day) for matching 5 main numbers plus the Grand Number in a secondary category, as well as smaller cash prizes.

Our generator produces 5 numbers from 1 to 49 and one Grand Number from 1 to 7. If you’re not keeping count, that’s the full selection required for a Daily Grand entry. This draw is underserved by most international lottery tools, which either omit it or apply an incorrect number range.

BC/49 number generator

BC/49 is a regional draw operated by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) for players in British Columbia. It runs alongside the national Lotto 6/49 draw on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and a single ticket purchase covers both draws.

The format is straightforward: 6 numbers from 1 to 49, plus a Bonus Number drawn from the remaining pool. The jackpot starts at $2 million and grows until won. Because BC/49 is a BCLC product, tickets are available through PlayNow.com and at BCLC retail locations across BC.

Our generator produces 6 unique numbers from 1 to 49, matching the BC/49 format. Players in other provinces cannot purchase BC/49 tickets.

Ontario 49 number generator

Ontario 49 is operated by OLG (Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation) and is available exclusively to players in Ontario. Like BC/49, it draws on Wednesdays and Saturdays and follows the same 6/49 format: 6 numbers from 1 to 49 plus a Bonus Number.

The jackpot starts at $2 million. Tickets are available through OLG.ca and at OLG retail locations throughout Ontario. Ontario 49 is a separate product from the national Lotto 6/49, though they share the same draw schedule.

Our generator produces 6 unique numbers from 1 to 49 for Ontario 49. If you are outside Ontario, this draw is not available to you — use the national Lotto 6/49 generator instead.

Atlantic 49 number generator

Atlantic 49 is operated by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC) and covers the four Atlantic provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador. The format is 6 numbers from 1 to 49, with draws on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The starting jackpot is $2 million. Tickets are available through the ALC’s online platform and at retail locations across the Atlantic provinces.

Our generator produces 6 unique numbers from 1 to 49, correctly formatted for Atlantic 49. As with the other provincial draws, this game is only available to residents of the four participating provinces.

Lottario Number Generator 6/45 (Ontario)

Lottario is an Ontario-exclusive draw operated by OLG, and one of the more distinctive games in the Canadian lottery landscape. Players select 6 numbers from a pool of 1 to 45. Note that this is a smaller pool than the national 6/49 format, which means better overall odds. The jackpot starts at $250,000 and can grow to $2 million before resetting.

Draws take place every Saturday. Lottario tickets are available through OLG.ca and at OLG retail locations across Ontario. One notable feature: players who purchase a Lottario ticket also receive a free Encore play, giving an additional chance to win up to $1 million by matching a 7-digit number in exact or partial order. Our generator produces 6 unique numbers from 1 to 45, correctly formatted for Lottario. This draw is only available to players in Ontario. Read our full online gambling in Ontario page for more information on provincial regulations.

Québec 49 number generator (6/49)

Québec 49 is operated by Loto-Québec and is available exclusively to players gambling in Quebec. The format is 6 numbers from 1 to 49 plus a Bonus Number, with draws on Wednesdays and Saturdays (the same schedule as the national Lotto 6/49, though the two are separate products sold on the same ticket).

The jackpot starts at $2 million. Tickets are available through Loto-Québec’s Espacejeux platform and at retail locations across Quebec. Players must be 18 or older. Quebec’s minimum gambling age is lower than the 19+ requirement in most other provinces. Our generator produces 6 unique numbers from 1 to 49 for Québec 49. This draw is only available to players in Quebec.

Western 649 number generator (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan & Manitoba)

Western 649 is a regional draw operated by the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) and is available to players in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. It runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays alongside the national Lotto 6/49, and a single ticket purchase covers both draws.

The format is 6 numbers from 1 to 49 plus a Bonus Number. The jackpot starts at $2 million and grows until won. Tickets are available through PlayNow.com in BC and through WCLC retail locations across the four participating provinces.

Our generator produces 6 unique numbers from 1 to 49, matching the Western 649 format. If you are in Ontario or Quebec, this draw is not available to you, use the national Lotto 6/49 or your province-specific draw instead.

Why Use a Lotto Number Generator?

Let’s be clear: a number generator does not improve your odds of winning. Every combination of numbers has an equal probability of being drawn, and no tool can change that.

However, what this generator does is remove the human patterns that most players introduce without realising it (plus, it saves time and mental load when you are buying multiple lines).

Removing human bias from your picks

When people choose lottery numbers manually, they rarely pick at random. Most players unconsciously avoid numbers above 31 — a pattern known as the “birthday-number effect,” where selections cluster around dates of birth and other memorable calendar dates. Research published in the Journal of Gambling Studies confirms this bias is consistent and measurable across lottery markets. None of this affects which numbers get drawn, but it does mean that if your numbers do come up, you are more likely to be sharing the prize with other players who made similar choices.

A generator with no awareness of previous draws, no aesthetic preferences, and no attachment to significant dates produces genuinely unbiased selections. Whether that matters to you practically is a personal decision, but the bias is real, and the generator eliminates it.

How this generator produces numbers

This generator uses JavaScript’s built-in random number function to produce each selection. Every number in the draw’s pool has an equal chance of appearing, and no number can repeat within the same set. The output is statistically uniform. This means the distribution of results across many uses matches what you would expect from a truly random draw.

Numbers are generated entirely within your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is logged, and no data is collected or stored at any point. Results are sorted in ascending order before display, consistent with how official Canadian lottery results are presented.

Why we built it this way

Most lottery number generators are bare-bones utilities, with little else than a button and a result. We built this one differently because we know how Canadian players actually use these draws. The number ranges, draw schedules, and format rules are verified directly against each provincial lottery corporation, not copied from third-party sources.

Stephen reviewed each draw format before the tool went live, and our editorial team checks it on a monthly cycle. If OLG, BCLC, WCLC, Loto-Québec, or the ALC announces a rule change, it is assessed and applied before the next draw takes place.

Where to Play These Numbers in Canada

Once you have generated your numbers, there are two main ways to use them: through provincial lottery corporations for official Canadian draw tickets, or through online casinos that offer lottery-style games.

Buying Tickets Through Provincial Lottery Corporations

Canada’s provincial lottery draws are administered by government-run corporations, not private operators. Each province has its own platform for online ticket purchases:

  • Ontario (OLG): OLG.ca offers online ticket purchasing for Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, Ontario 49, Daily Grand, and other OLG products. Players must be 18+ and registered in Ontario.
  • British Columbia (BCLC): PlayNow.com is BCLC’s online platform, covering Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, BC/49, Daily Grand, and Keno. Players must be 19+ and located in BC at the time of purchase.
  • Atlantic provinces (ALC): The Atlantic Lottery operates online ticket sales for Atlantic 49, Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, and regional games. Players must be 19+ and in one of the four Atlantic provinces.
  • Quebec (Loto-Quebec): Espacejeux.com covers Quebec residents, with access to national draws and Quebec-specific products. Players must be 18+.

To use your generated numbers, copy and paste them when prompted during the ticket purchase process rather than using the Quick Pick option.

Playing lottery-style games at Canadian online casinos

If you enjoy the format of lottery draws but want more frequent gameplay, a number of Canadian-licensed online casinos offer lottery-style games: instant-win draws, keno variants, and number-pick games that resolve immediately rather than on a weekly schedule. These are different from provincial draws. They are RNG-based casino games, not government-operated lotteries. For a detailed comparison of what these platforms offer, see our online lottery sites in Canada review.

Responsible Gambling

Lottery participation should be treated as entertainment, not as a financial strategy. The expected return on any lottery ticket is negative. That is the nature of the product. If lottery play is becoming a concern, free support is available through BCLC’s GameSense program for BC residents and ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600) for Ontario residents.

Lottery Number Generator FAQ

Yes. This is an informational tool, a random number generator. Using it does not constitute gambling and is legal in all Canadian provinces. The tool generates number combinations for entertainment and convenience purposes only. It has no connection to any official lottery system and does not affect draw outcomes in any way.

No. Every combination of numbers has exactly the same probability of being drawn. A random generator does not improve your odds and no tool can. What it does is eliminate the unconscious patterns that lead most people to choose similar numbers, which can reduce the likelihood of sharing a prize if your numbers do come up.

Functionally, the randomness quality is the same. Both options use random number generation. The difference is timing and control. A Quick Pick is generated at the point of sale and printed immediately on your ticket. This generator lets you produce sets of numbers in advance, review and select from multiple sets, and then enter your chosen numbers manually when purchasing your ticket online or in store. Some players prefer this approach simply because it feels more deliberate.

Yes. Enter your generated numbers manually (copy and paste) during the ticket purchase process on OLG.ca (Ontario), PlayNow.com (BC), or the Atlantic Lottery website (Atlantic provinces). When prompted to choose numbers, select the manual entry option rather than Quick Pick, then enter the numbers from your generated set. For Quebec residents, Espacejeux.com also supports manual number entry for national draws.

The generator currently covers eight draws: three national games available across all provinces, and five provincial draws for specific regions.

National draws: Lotto Max (7 from 50, Tuesday and Friday), Lotto 6/49 (6 from 49, Wednesday and Saturday), and Daily Grand (5 from 49 plus a Grand Number from 1 to 7, Monday and Thursday).

Provincial draws: Western 649,  BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba (6 from 49, Wednesday and Saturday), Ontario 49 (6 from 49, Wednesday and Saturday), Lottario for Ontario only (6 from 45, Saturday), Québec 49 for Quebec only (6 from 49, Wednesday and Saturday), and Atlantic 49 — New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland (6 from 49, Wednesday and Saturday). If you are unsure which draws are available in your province, the three national draws (Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, and Daily Grand) are sold in all provinces and territories across Canada.
