EGR B2B Nominations: Choosing Winners

The process by which EGR Global chooses its winners is a voting process officiated by Deloitte. The process is transparent and adjudicated by a third party to ensure its respect in the industry.

A team of external and independent judges are chosen each year to reflect the diversity and expertise in the online gaming world. All judges are required to sign a disclaimer form to keep information confidential until authorised to release it, and judges must vow to bring no conflicts of interest to the table.

Groups of judges are subsequently assigned judging categories that coincide with their individual market expertise, but do not present conflicts of interest. They then read and analyse the submissions, score each submission, and provide their thoughts in writing. That information is submitted, scores are tallied, and the winners are calculated by the online judging platform.

Finally, winners are announced at the ceremony in London.

EGR B2B Nominations: Playtech Already Winners

Little more than three months ago, Playtech was nominated for several categories at the Gaming Intelligence 2019 Awards.

When the winners were announced, Playtech was honoured with awards for Supplier Innovation, Bingo Supplier of the Year, and Poker Supplier of the Year. The company also had three additional entries in the GI Hot 50 list. That triple victory this year followed a triple win in 2018.

The Supplier Innovation win focused on the POP, GPAS, and Marketplace content creation and discovery suite, and the award was giving for its revolutionary influence on the industry.

As for the Bingo Supplier of the Year honour, Gaming Intelligence was described as leading the industry via “tech excellence and product innovation.”

And the Poker Supplier of the Year recognition came from its work as a regulated poker network in the French and Spanish markets, which recently merged to share liquidity across country borders. That ability to blend the two markets was described as the “single biggest differentiator from its competitors.”
