New Microgaming Slot Releases Include Online Pachinko

As the holidays approach and the end of the year looms in the distance, Microgaming lined up its releases early for December. Of the six games slated for release this month, several are already in the top Canadian online casinos, and the others are ready to go.

All Microgaming releases will be out by December 15 to give players many options for online slot and bingo play through the holidays.

  1. Pachinko (December 1)

Microgaming partnered with Neko Games to release this game at the beginning of December. Pachinko is wildly popular in Japan, where the game originated, but its popularity has spread across the world in recent years.

  • 90-ball
  • Max numbers: 60
  • Balls per game: 30
  • Tickets per game: 4
  • Max win: 5000x
  • RTP: 93.89% (up to 96.08% with extra balls)
  • Volatility: medium
  • Bets: $0.05 – $10

Pachinko is a bit like a pinball machine, but Neko turned it into a fun version of online bingo. With 19 bingo patterns, players can purchase up to four bingo tickets per game with 15 numbers in each. For an additional cost, players can buy up to 10 extra balls, though some of them can be free. Wild balls may appear in the extra ball stage.

There is a jackpot that can pay 5,000x the bet per ticket but only when four tickets are open in a game. The jackpot must be activated and all numbers on the enabled tickets marked off before purchasing extra balls.

  1. Alchemy Fortunes (December 1)

If magic potions could be a coronavirus vaccine, everyone would want a piece of the action. Microgaming worked with longtime partner All41 Studios to create Alchemy Fortunes, minus the magic vaccine but plus many exciting features.

  • 7 reels (7×7)
  • Paylines: cluster pays
  • Max win: 1100x
  • RTP: 96.41%
  • Volatility: high
  • Bets: $0.20 – $100

This game is unique from the start with its 7×7 grid and various colored potions and gems. It also introduces Hyper Clusters for more exciting payouts. Rolling Reels is a popular feature that allows one win to turn into more. Winning combinations drop from the reels, and new symbols fall into place for consecutive wins on the same spin. Wilds appear randomly, up to six on a spin, though five wilds appear at the start of every spin in the bonus round.

Watch the Magic Potion Meter to the left of the grid as it fills up with each winning spin. At the completion of each of the five levels, features appear, such as the Potion Swap, Summon Wilds, Gem Crush, and Alchemy of Wilds. After the fifth level, though, Fortune Free Spins begin with five bonus spins.

  1. Diamond King Jackpots (December 3)

A relatively new partnership between Microgaming and SpinPlay Games produced a beautiful game called Diamond King Jackpots. The colors are vivid and bright, the background scene crisp, and the jackpots exciting.

  • 5 reels (5×4)
  • Paylines: 1,024
  • Max win: 10,912x
  • RTP: 96.44%
  • Volatility: medium
  • Bets: $0.10 – $25

There are four jackpots – mini, minor, major, and mega – the latter of which can reach as high as $125,000 when playing the max bet. The Diamond Meter tracks each diamond, which is the Wild, that lands on the grid. When the meter fills, the Jackpot Feature begins. If the player matches three jackpot icons, they win that jackpot.

The Power Range is another feature to watch, as symbols within it pay with a 2x multiplier. (During free spins, the Power Range covers the entire grid and can award 2x, 3x, or 5x multipliers.) At least three scatters trigger the free spins: three scatters trigger 10 spins, four scatters 15 spins, or five scatters 20 spins.

  1. Assassin Moon (December 8)

Microgaming and Triple Edge Studios regularly release games, the latest one named Assassin Moon. It takes players into a spy mystery, one that starts at a casino in Monte Carlo. The story is unique for an online slot game and offers quite a few features.

  • 5 reels (5×3)
  • Paylines: 25
  • Max win: 12,500x
  • RTP: 96.08%
  • Volatility: high
  • Bets: $0.10 – $20

This game features mini, minor, major, and mega jackpots, which can reach as high as $100,000 when betting the $20 max per spin. Another exciting feature in Assassin Moon is the Win Booster, which is a paid option but can increase the chance of hitting features.

Players should watch for the Hyperhold symbol in this game. Six to 14 of them can appear on a grid and trigger the feature, which reveals a jackpot or cash prize. The spinning continues until three spins produce no new results or until all 15 spots are consumed by Hyperhold symbols.

Scatters trigger free spins, Wilds can appear to enhance wins, and Jumbo Blocks can form 3×3 blocks in the free spins to award an extra 10 spins. There is always something happening in Assassin Moon.

  1. Thunderstruck II Remastered (December 12)

One of Microgaming’s most popular games in its long history is Thunderstruck. The first was such a hit that the developer released a second version in 2010. Ten years later, Microgaming remastered it, still with the Norse mythology but with upgraded graphics and features.

  • 5 reels (5×3)
  • Paylines: 243
  • Max win: 8100x
  • RTP: 96.65%
  • Volatility: low
  • Bets: $0.30 – $15

The low volatility means the winning is more frequent. This brings up the numerous features, from the Wildstorm to Rolling Reels, from expanding symbols to multipliers. And with a bonus round of free spins, the game rarely stops to catch its breath.

  1. Silverback Multiplier Mountain (December 15)

Just For The Win Studios is a solid partner for Microgaming, turning out a new game nearly every month of the year. The latest will be out on December 15 in the form of Silverback Multiplier Mountain. The silverback gorilla takes players to the wild where the animals run free.

  • 6 reels (6×4)
  • Paylines: 4,096
  • Max win: 25,000x
  • RTP: 96.22%
  • Volatility: high
  • Bets: $0.20 – $10

Obviously, the silverback enshrined in gold is the Wild, which can be quite lucrative on the right payline. Scatters lead to free spins: three garner 10 free spins, four scatters equal 15 spins, five scatters 20 spins, and six scatters equal 30 free spins. More scatters during the bonus round add more spins. And look for the gorilla symbols to stack and create serious payouts.

Players can buy free spins with the special Buy feature in Silverback Multiplier Mountain. For 90x the current bet, players can buy 10 free spins with scatters on the first three reels and possibly more. It can be a risky bet.
