American Hip Hop artist DeAndre Cortez Way, better known by his stage name, Soulja Boy has taken his interest in Online Poker to a whole new level according to recent reports emanating from the Star’s camp.
Soulja Boy and Online Poker
The 24-year-old American Rap artist is well known for his business ventures outside of the music industry, one of which being the World Poker Fund Holding (WPFH), a project he established earlier in 2015.
The WPFH is the Rapper’s effort in reinvigorating the general public’s interest in Online Poker through a range of online, live and TV initiatives designed to provide more engagement with prospective gamers.
Soulja Boy’s company mission is to make poker more “entertaining and accessible.”
The United States rapper has indicated his intent by appointing Martin Owens as the Chief Advisor of his company.
The fledgling company is working with Native American tribes in California to help petition for various laws, including Online Poker.
Owens has been roped in by the rap artist with the purpose of helping his company in fostering and forging new relationships with Native American tribes across the US.
The company’s new Chief Advisor boasts over 17years of experience in online gaming laws having been an expert since 1998. His appointment will help raise funds and petition federal authorities, but he will be a key advisor in WPFH’s online poker efforts in the event that iGaming regulations should be legalized within the state.
