The game of online Baccarat is played according to a seemingly straightforward set of rules which reveals its actual depth and complexity as you progress in the game. The aim of the game is to achieve the value of 9, or its closest equivalent, with the sum of a hand consisting of two or three cards, in a game between the player and the dealer, or “Banker”. If a hand exceeds the value of 9, it is considered a losing hand. Baccarat is usually played with up to 8 standard 52-card decks, whereby the Ace has a value of 1, all cards from 2 to 9 retain the value of their denotation, and the 10 card and the Face cards (King, Queen and Jack), have the value of zero.
The crux of your baccarat strategy is defined according to the types of bets that you can make in the game. Baccarat allows you to make three different bets –namely, on the Player’s hand, the Banker’s hand or a tie between the two. This allows a greater deal of flexibility in the game, giving you two more chances of scoring a win in the game. In other words, even if your hand loses, you still win the game if you have placed a bet on the dealer’s hand winning.
